Interior trim removal tool

Removal

  1. Remove the roof opening panel glass.
    Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Glass (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
  2. Remove the roof opening panel frame.
    Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Frame (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
  3. Using a trim removal tool, separate the gutter assembly levers from the gutter assembly.
    Use common service equipment: interior trim removal tool.

    1. Carefully lift the gutter assembly and slide the gutter assembly guides out from under the gutter assembly.
    1. Slide the gutter assembly rearward until the gutter assembly is approximately 76.2 mm (3 in) from the sunroof opening panels rear edge.

  5. NOTICE: Use care when disconnecting the gutter assembly from the sunroof panel guides to prevent damage to the gutter assembly or frame.


    Remove the gutter assembly.
    1. Pull the guide inward.
    1. Release the retaining tab.
    1. Remove the gutter assembly.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
