Evaporator Core. Removal and Installation

Removal

1. 1
   Remove the heater core.
   Refer to: Heater Core (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).

   Remove the climate control housing seal.

   Remove the bolts and the thermostatic expansion valve. Discard the sealing gaskets.
   Torque: 71 lb-in (8 N·m)

   Disconnect the blower motor and the blower motor speed controller.

   Remove the blower motor speed controller.

   

6. 6
   Remove the blower motor.

   

7. 7
   Remove the retainer and release the clips securing the climate control housing.

   Remove the retainer and release the clips securing the climate control housing.

   

9. 9
   Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor and remove the evaporator.

   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
