Flat-blade screwdriver

Removal

   Open the luggage compartment lid.

   1. Move the luggage compartment lid handle cover aside.

   2. Remove the decorative cover.

   3. Remove the screws and the luggage compartment lid handle rod.

   Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the latch housing slot and slowly pry to release the latch tabs and remove the decorative cover.
   Use common equipment: flat-bladed screwdriver.

   1. Remove the pin-type retainers.

   2. Remove the trim panel by passing the emergency release handle through the trim panel opening.

   Disconnect the electrical connector, release the harness clips and set the wiring harness aside.

   Mark the hinge position with an index mark to aid installation of the luggage compartment lid.

   

7. 7
   Remove the bolts and the luggage compartment lid.
   Torque: 89 lb-in (10 N·m)

   

Installation

1. 1
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   Check the alignment and correct as necessary.
