Hose Clamp Removal/Installation Tool

Removal

1. 1
   Remove the A/C compressor.
   Refer to: A/C Compressor - 1.5 L EcoBoost (118kW/160 LPS) - I4 (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).

   Drain the cooling system.
   Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Air Bleeding (303-03A Engine Cooling — 1.5 L EcoBoost (118 kW/160 L hp) — I4, General Procedures).

   1. Remove the nut.
      Torque: 159 lb-in (18 N·m)

   2. Remove the stud.
      Torque: 44 lb-in (5 N·m)

   Loosen the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
   Use common service equipment: hose clamp removal/installation tool.

   

5. 5
   1. Remove the thermostat housing.

   2. Loosen the clamps, disconnect the coolant hoses and remove the wiring harness clip.
      Use common equipment: Hose clamp removal/installation tool.

   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
