Traction control
Operating Principles
In this manual: Traction control
~1min read
The traction control system helps prevent wheel spin of the driven wheels and loss of traction.
If your vehicle begins to slide, the system brakes the individual wheels and, if necessary, simultaneously reduces engine power. If the wheels spin during acceleration on slippery or unstable surfaces, the system reduces engine power to increase traction.
