Steering wheel adjustment - Vehicles with

WARNING

Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving.

Note: Make sure you are seated correctly. See Sitting in the Correct Position

   Unlock the steering column.

   Move the steering wheel to the desired position.

   

3. Lock the steering column.

WARNING

Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving.

Use the control on the side of the steering column to adjust the position.

To make the following adjustments:

• Tilt adjustment: press the top or bottom of the control.
• Telescopic adjustment: press the front or rear of the control.

The steering column sets a stop position just before the end of the column travel to prevent damage. A new stop position is set if the steering column meets an obstruction while adjusting tilt or telescopic position.

To return the steering column to its normal stop position:

1. 1
   Press the steering column control again after reaching the new stop position.
2. 2
   Keep pressing the control until the end of the column travel is reached.

A new stop position is set.

The next time you adjust the tilt or telescopic position of the steering column, it will stop near the end of the column travel.

Memory Function

You can store and recall the steering column position using the memory function. See Memory Function

Note: Pressing the adjustment control during memory recall cancels the operation. The column responds to the adjustment control.

Easy entry and exit function (if equipped)

When you switch off the ignition, the steering column moves to its maximum upright position to give you more room to exit your vehicle.

The column returns to its previous position setting when you switch the ignition on.
