WARNING

The system only provides protection when the seat belt is used correctly.

The warning lamp illuminates and a warning chime sounds if:

  • The front seat belts have not been fastened.
  • The vehicle is traveling above a certain, relatively low, speed.

It also illuminates, and the warning chime sounds, when a seat belt is unfastened while the vehicle is moving.

If you do not fasten your seat belt, the warning automatically stops after approximately five minutes.
