Seat Belt System Parts Replacement After a Crash

~1min read

After a minor crash, seat belt replacement may not be necessary. However, seat belt assemblies that were in use during any crash may have been subjected to stress or damage. Contact your dealer to have the seat belt assemblies inspected or replaced.

New parts and repairs may be necessary even if the seat belt system was not in use during a crash.

The pretensioners should be inspected if the vehicle was in a crash, or if the airbag readiness light comes on after the engine is started or while driving. See Airbag Readiness Light.
