Loosen the wheel nuts slightly. Raise the vehicle and make sure it is securely supported.
Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the front hub.
Tightening torque: 107.9 - 128 N·m
Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire (A).
Loosen the mounting bolt and disconnect the wheel speed sensor cable from the strut assembly.
Tightening torque: 8.8 ~ 13.7 N·m
Remove the wheel speed sensor cable bracket bolt (A).
Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
Remove the front wheel guard.
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector (A), then remove it.
Loosen the bolt and remove the wheel speed sensor (A).
Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Inspection
Measure the output voltage between the wheel speed sensor terminal and the body ground.
To protect the wheel speed sensor when measuring the output voltage, a 100 Ω resistor must be used as shown in the illustration.
Compare the wheel speed sensor output voltage change with the normal output voltage change as shown below.V_low: 0.59 V ~ 0.84 V V_high: 1.18 V ~ 1.68 V Frequency range: 1 ~ 2500 Hz
