Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front seat assembly. (Refer to Body - "Front Seat Assembly")
  3. Remove the seatback. (Refer to Body - "Front Seatback Cover")
  4. Disconnect the lumbar support motor connector (A).
  5. Release the retaining clips (A) from the seat frame.
  6. Remove the lumbar support assembly by disconnecting the mounting clip (A).

Installation

  1. Install the lumbar support assembly.
  2. Install the seatback trim.
  3. Install the front seat assembly.
    • Make sure the connectors are connected correctly.
    • Check the rear lumbar support system.

Inspection

Lumbar Support Motor
  1. Disconnect the connectors for each motor. [Lumbar Support Motor]
  2. Connect the battery directly to the motor terminals and check that the motors operate smoothly.
  3. Reverse the connections and check that the motor rotates in the opposite direction.
  4. If there are any abnormalities, replace the motors.
