Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (A), then remove the oil pressure sensor (B).

    Tightening torque: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  • When installing the oil pressure switch, apply sealant to the threads.
Sealant: THREEBOND 2403. Thickness: 0.2 ~ 0.4 mm (0.008 ~ 0.016 in)

Inspection

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between the terminal and the body. If there is no continuity, replace the oil pressure sensor.
  2. Check continuity between the terminal and the body while pressing the thin wire. If there is continuity even when the thin wire is pressed, replace the switch.
  3. If there is no continuity when 50 kPa (0.50 kgf/cm², 7.25 psi) is applied through the oil passage, the switch operates correctly. Check for air leakage. If air leaks, the diaphragm is broken. Replace it.
