Safe Exit Assist (SEA)

Once the system determines that it is unsafe for a passenger to open the door, when it detects an approaching vehicle from behind as the person opens the door, the warning message "Watch for Traffic" will appear and the warning sound will continue for five seconds.
If a vehicle approaches too quickly or the door is opened suddenly, the warning may not activate in time, increasing the risk of an accident. Therefore, before opening the door, make sure nothing is approaching.
This function operates for ten minutes even after the ignition is turned off.
The function will be activated as soon as the vehicle doors are locked with the Smart Key.
The warning sound will continue while the Safe Exit Assist (SEA) function is activated.
The Safe Exit Assist (SEA) function is activated when you select "Driver Assistance" → "Blind-Spot Safety" → "Safe Exit Assist (SEA)" from the User Settings mode on the instrument cluster LCD.
