Smart Cruise Control Switch Repair Procedures

Inspection

[Resistance Measurement]

1. 1
   Disconnect the cruise control switch connector from the control switch.

   

2. 2
   Measure the resistance between the terminals of the control switch when each function switch is in the ON position (switch pressed).

   Function Switch	Terminal	Resistance
   SET -	2 - 5	550?±5%
   VOICE +	2 - 5	880?±5%
   CANCEL	2 - 5	330?±5%
   CRUISE	2 - 5	1.4 kΩ ± 5%
   CCS	2 - 5	5.54 kΩ ± 5%

3. 3
   If not within specification, replace the switch.

Removal

1. 1
   Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. 2
   Remove the steering wheel assembly. (Refer to Steering System – Steering Wheel)
3. 3
   Remove the steering column rear cover (A).

   

4. 4
   Disconnect the remote control connector on the steering wheel (A).

   

5. 5
   Remove the steering wheel remote control after loosening the screws.

   

Installation

1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
