Seat Warmers

~2min read

Front Seat Warmers

The seat warmers are provided to heat the seats in cold weather.

WARNING

Seat warmers may cause SERIOUS BURNS, even at low temperatures and especially with prolonged use.

Passengers should feel if the seat becomes too warm, so they can turn it off if necessary.

People who cannot detect temperature changes or pain in the skin must exercise extreme caution, especially the following categories of occupants:

  • Infants, children, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities or ambulatory impairments.
  • People with sensitive skin or who burn easily.
  • Fatigued persons.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol.
  • Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness.

WARNING

NEVER place anything on the seat that insulates against heat while the seat warmer is operating, such as a blanket or seat cushion. This may cause the seat warmer to overheat, resulting in burns or seat damage.

NOTICE

To avoid damage to the seat warmers and seat:

  • Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat warmers.
  • Do not modify the seat upholstery. This may damage the seat warmer or the ventilation system.

With the engine running, press either the driver's or front passenger's seat warmer switch.

In mild weather or when seat warmers are not needed, keep the switches in the OFF position.

• Manual Temperature Control

Each time you press the switch, the seat temperature setting changes as follows:

-- Front Seat

• Automatic Temperature Control

The seat heater starts automatic seat temperature control to prevent low-temperature burns after it is turned on manually.

You can manually press the switch to increase the seat temperature. However, it will soon return to automatic control.

  • If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the seat heater is operating, the seat heater will turn OFF.
  • The seat heater is off by default whenever the ignition switch is in the ON position. However, if the Auto Comfort Control function is enabled, the driver's seat heater turns on and off depending on the ambient temperature.
  • Auto Comfort Control (for driver's seat, if equipped)

The seat heater automatically controls the seat temperature depending on the ambient temperature while the engine is running. If the seat heater switch is pressed, the seat heater will be controlled manually. To use this function, it must be activated from the settings menu on the AVN screen. For more details, refer to the separately supplied System Manual.
