Introduction

Vehicle Break-in

~1min read

No special break-in period is required. Following a few simple precautions during the first 1,000 km can improve the performance, operating costs and service life of the vehicle.

- Do not push the engine to maximum speed.

- While driving, keep engine speed (rpm) between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm.

- Do not maintain the same speed for long periods, whether low or high. Varying engine speed is essential for proper engine break-in.

- Avoid sudden braking, except in emergencies, so that the brakes can seat properly.

- Do not leave the engine idling for more than 3 minutes at a time.
