Do not use methanol

Fuels containing methanol must not be used in the vehicle.

This type of fuel may reduce vehicle performance and damage fuel system components.

NOTICE Your new vehicle's limited warranty may not cover damage to the fuel system and performance problems caused by the use of methanol or fuels containing methanol.

Fuels for Cleaner Air

To help achieve cleaner air, HYUNDAI recommends using gasoline treated with detergent additives, which help prevent deposit formation in the engine. These fuels help the engine produce fewer emissions and improve the performance of the emission control system.

Use in Other Countries

If you will use the vehicle in another country, make sure to:

- Comply with all regulations regarding registration and insurance.

Determine the availability of suitable fuel.

Fuel Additives

HYUNDAI recommends using good-quality gasoline that meets European standard (EN228) or equivalent products.

For customers who do not regularly use good-quality gasoline that includes fuel additives and who experience starting problems or irregular engine operation, add one bottle of fuel additive to the fuel tank every 15,000 km (Europe) / 5,000 km (outside Europe). Additives are available from an authorized HYUNDAI dealer, including instructions on how to use them.
