ISOFIX Child Restraint System Anchorages and Top Tether Anchorage for Children
The ISOFIX system helps secure the child restraint during driving and in the event of a collision. This system is designed to make installation of the child restraint easier and to reduce the possibility of incorrect installation. The ISOFIX system uses anchorages in the vehicle and connectors on the child restraint.
The ISOFIX system eliminates the need to use the seat belts to secure the child restraint to the rear seats.
ISOFIX anchorages are metal bars built into the vehicle. There are two lower anchorages for each ISOFIX seating position, which secure the child restraint with the lower connectors.
To use the ISOFIX system in your vehicle, you must have a child restraint with ISOFIX connectors. (An ISOFIX child restraint can only be installed if it has universal approval or vehicle-specific approval meeting the requirements of ECE-R 44 or ECE-R 129.)
The child restraint manufacturer will provide instructions on how to use the child restraint with its lower connectors.

ISOFIX anchorages are only intended for use in the left and right rear outboard seating positions. Their locations are shown in the illustration. There are no ISOFIX anchorages for the rear center seat.
WARNING
Do not attempt to install a child restraint using the ISOFIX anchorages in the rear center seating position. There are no ISOFIX anchorages provided for this seat.
Using the outboard seat anchorages to install a child restraint in the rear center seat may damage the anchorages. They may break or fail in a collision and cause serious or even fatal injury.

ISOFIX anchorage symbols are located on the left and right rear seatbacks to identify the positions of the ISOFIX anchorages in your vehicle (refer to the arrows in the illustration).

Both outboard rear seats are equipped with a pair of ISOFIX anchorages and a corresponding top tether anchorage at the rear of the seatback.
