COMPONENT LOCATION AND FUNCTION OVERVIEW
Components Function
Vehicle speed sensor Converts vehicle speed into pulses.
ECM Receives signals from sensors and control switches;
Cruise Control Indicator Illuminates when the cruise control main switch is ON (built into the instrument cluster)
Cruise Control Switches With ON/OFF switch Cruise control power switch
With RESUME/ACCEL switch Controls the cruise control functions using the RESUME/ACCEL switch (SET/COAST switch).
SET/COAST switch
With cancel switches With cancel switch Sends cancel signals to the ECM.
Brake Pedal Switch
Transmission range switch (A/T)
ETC motor Holds the throttle valve at the opening set by the ECM.
