REAR WIPER MOTOR Repair Procedures

Inspection

1. 1
   Turn the wiper switch on to check continuity between the wiper motor terminals.

   

   NO	Description
   1	B (+)
   2	PARK
   3	Down
   4	MASS

   
   

   

2. 2
   Disconnect the positive (+) battery cable from terminal 4, then disconnect the negative (-) cable from terminal 3.
3. 3
   Make sure the motor operates at low speed.

DEPOSIT

1. 1
   Remove the rear wiper arm and blade (A), then remove the rear wiper arm nut (B).

   

2. 2
   Remove the rear wiper ring (A).

   Open the tailgate, then remove the tailgate trim. (Refer to Body - Tailgate Trim)
4. 4
   Disconnect the rear wiper motor connector (B), then remove the rear wiper motor (A) after removing the 3 bolts.

   

REMEDY

1. 1
   Install the rear wiper motor assembly and ring.

   Tightening torque (bolt): 6.9 ~ 9.8 N·m N·m

   Install the rear door trim panel.
3. 3
   Install the rear wiper blade on the heater lower defroster line and on the tailgate glass.

   Install the rear wiper cover and the rear wiper nut.

   Tightening torque (nut): 3.9 ~ 6.9 N·m N·m
