Windshield Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

   Press the sunroof switch to fully open the movable window.

   Remove the roof side molding. (Refer to Body Moldings - "Roof Side Moldings")

   Pull the square wire (A) left and right, then apply force in the direction of the arrow to cut the remaining sealant.

   Carefully remove the windshield (A) without damaging it.

   

REMEDY

   Install the roof side molding.

   Press the sunroof switch to fully close the movable window.
3. 3
   Use a blade to cut the remaining sealant (A) around the body panel.

   If the windshield (A) is reused, remove the remaining sealant (B) around the body panel using a blade.

   Use alcohol or a pneumatic gun to clean the edges of the body panel and windshield.

   Using a sealant gun, apply sealant (B) around the body panel (A).

   Set the windshield (A) loosely on the body panel.

   Before fully installing the windshield, check the gap and clearance (B).

   Apply tape around the windshield to prevent it from detaching.
