You must exercise extreme care to prevent damage to your vehicle and injury to yourself when performing any maintenance or inspection procedures.

We recommend that your vehicle be serviced and repaired at an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. Authorized HYUNDAI dealers meet HYUNDAI's high standards of service and receive technical support from HYUNDAI to provide you with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Owner Responsibility

Performing maintenance and keeping records is the owner's responsibility. You must keep documents proving that your vehicle has been maintained in accordance with the scheduled maintenance intervals shown on the following pages. You need this information to ensure that you meet the warranty obligations for repair and maintenance of your vehicle.

Detailed warranty information is contained in the Owner's Manual and Warranty Information booklet.

Repairs and adjustments required as a result of improper maintenance or failure to perform required maintenance are not covered.

Owner Maintenance Precautions

Improper, incomplete, or insufficient maintenance may lead to problems with your vehicle, which may result in vehicle damage, an accident, or personal injury. This chapter provides instructions only for maintenance items that are easy to perform. Some procedures should be performed only by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer with special tools. Your vehicle must never be modified. Such modifications may adversely affect the performance, safety, or durability of your vehicle and may also violate the terms of the limited warranty applicable to the vehicle.

Some modifications may also violate regulations established by the U.S. Department of Transportation and other federal or state agencies.

NOTICE

Improper maintenance by the owner during the warranty period may affect warranty coverage. For details, refer to the separate Owner's Manual and Warranty Information booklet provided with your vehicle. If you are unsure about any service or maintenance procedure, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
