Owner Maintenance
WARNING
Performing vehicle maintenance can be dangerous. If you do not have sufficient knowledge and experience, or the proper tools and equipment to perform the work, have it done by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
ALWAYS observe the following precautions when performing maintenance:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, shift the shift lever to P (Park), apply the parking brake, and set the engine START/STOP button to OFF.
- Block the wheels (front and rear) to prevent the vehicle from moving. Remove loose clothing or jewelry that may catch on moving parts.
- If you need to start the engine during maintenance, do so outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep open flames, sparks, or smoking materials away from the battery and fuel-related parts.
The following lists show the vehicle inspections and checks that must be performed by the owner or an authorized HYUNDAI dealer at the intervals indicated to help ensure safe and reliable operation of your vehicle.
Any abnormal conditions should be reported to your dealer as soon as possible.
These owner-performed vehicle inspections are generally not covered by the warranty, and you may be charged for the labor, parts, and lubricants used.
