Bulbs

~1min read

Contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to replace most vehicle light bulbs. Replacing vehicle light bulbs is difficult because other parts of the vehicle must be removed before you can reach the bulb. This is especially true for removing the headlamp assembly to reach the bulb(s).

Removing/installing the headlamp assembly may cause damage to the vehicle.

Information

After heavy rain or car washing, lamps may fog up. This condition is caused by a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lamp. It is similar to condensation on your vehicle's windows during rain and does not indicate a malfunction. If water flows into the lamp's electrical circuit, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING

  • Before replacing a bulb, press the brake pedal, move the shift lever to P (Park), apply the parking brake, place the engine Start/Stop button in the OFF position, and take the key with you when leaving the vehicle to avoid sudden vehicle movement and possible electric shock.
  • Be aware that bulbs may be hot and can burn your fingers.
