Removal and Installation

Air Cleaner Assembly
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
  3. Remove the air duct (A).
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
    1. Disconnect the breather hose (A).
    2. Disconnect the RCV hose and tube (B).
    3. Air cleaner intake hose (C) and air cleaner assembly (D). Tightening torque: Hose clamp bolt: 2.9–4.9 N·m Air cleaner mounting bolts: 3.9–5.9 N·m
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Open the air cleaner cover (A) by releasing the clips.
  7. Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.
  8. Close the air cleaner cover by engaging the clips.
