| Noise | Whine noise from the steering gear All power steering system components may produce a whining noise. One of the most common whine noises occurs when the steering wheel is turned while the vehicle is not moving. This noise will be most noticeable when turning the steering wheel with the brakes applied. There is no relation between this noise and steering performance. Do not replace the valve if no whine noise is heard. The noise becomes extreme. A replaced valve will also produce a slight noise. Replacement is not always the solution for this condition. |
