Pinch Protection
When folding or unfolding the third-row seat, if an obstacle is detected, the seat returns to its original position or stops operating.
However, this function may not work when the detected resistance is below a certain level or the seat is almost folded or unfolded. When a strong force is applied to the seat, the obstacle detection function may be activated even if there is no obstacle.
If an obstacle is detected several times during operation, the seat folds and unfolds once, repeatedly in sequence, and then operation may stop. In this case, check that no object is caught, then press the switch again to check for abnormality.
When obstacle detection is enabled, the seatback angle may be changed. When you operate the seat once by pressing the seatback switch, the seatback angle will reset.
WARNING
Do not place any part of your body or any object in the operating area to intentionally test obstacle detection.
For safety, when folding or unfolding the third-row seats, make sure no part of the body or object is in the way. To prevent damage to the seat belt, insert it into the holder and store it in the retractor inside the seat.
When a child restraint system (CRS) is installed on the third-row seat, remove the CRS before operating the seat.
If there is any object on the third-row seat cushion, remove it before using the seat.
To avoid interference with the front seat, keep the front seatback upright and move it forward for smooth operation.
