Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Remove the PCV cover.

  2. Disconnect the vapor hose (A).
  3. Remove the PCV valve (B).

Inspection

  1. Insert a thin rod (A) into the PCV valve (B) from the threaded side. Check the plunger movement.

    • If the plunger does not move (PCV valve clogged), clean or replace the PCV valve.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    PCV valve: 7.8–11.8 N·m

    • Apply Loctite 243 to the screw threads when installing the PCV valve.
