Repair Procedures

Diagnosis using a scan tool

Diagnosis using the diagnostic tool
  1. The electrical system malfunctions can be quickly diagnosed using the vehicle diagnostic system (Diagnostic tool). The diagnostic system (diagnostic tool) provides the following information.
    1. DTC Search: Check malfunction and diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
    2. Data Analysis: Check the input/output data status of the system
    3. Actuation Test: Check the system operating status
    4. S/W Management: Control other functions, including system parameter setting and zero point adjustment
  2. To diagnose the vehicle using the diagnostic tool, select "DTC Analysis" and "Vehicle".

  3. Select "Data Analysis" and "Vehicle Model".

  4. Select "DDM" to check the current status of input/output data.

  5. To forcibly activate the input value of the module under test, select the "Activation Test" option.

Removal

Driver Window Switch
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
  3. Disconnect the mounting clip, then remove the power window switch assembly (A).

  4. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  5. Remove the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
  6. Disconnect the mounting clip, then remove the power window switch assembly (A).

  7. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  8. Remove the rear door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Rear Door Trim")
  9. Disconnect the mounting clip, then remove the power window switch assembly (A).

Installation

Driver Window Switch
  1. Install the power window switch assembly.
  2. Install the front door trim after connecting the connector.
  3. Install the power window switch assembly.
  4. Install the front door trim after connecting the connector.
  5. Install the power window switch assembly.
  6. Install the rear door trim after connecting the connector.
