Removal and Storage of Spare Tire

Your spare tire is stored under the vehicle, directly beneath the cargo area.
To remove the spare tire:
1. Open the tailgate.
2. Locate the plastic cover over the hex-head bolt and remove the cover using a coin or flat-blade screwdriver.

3. Connect the socket (A) and the wheel nut wrench (B).
4. Loosen the bolt enough to lower the spare tire. Turn the wrench counterclockwise until the spare tire reaches the ground.
5. After the spare tire reaches the ground, continue turning the wrench counterclockwise and pull the spare tire out. Never overturn the wrench, otherwise the spare tire holder may be damaged.

6. Pull the holder guide (1) through the center hole of the spare tire.
To store the spare tire:
1. Place the tire on the ground with the valve stem facing up.
2. Position the tire under the vehicle and insert the holder guide and chain through the center of the wheel.
3. Turn the wrench clockwise until it clicks.
CAUTION
Make sure the spare tire holder guide is properly aligned with the center of the spare tire to prevent the spare tire from rattling.
Otherwise, the spare tire may fall from the carrier and cause an accident.
