Power Window Safety Function
When the driver's side power window auto-up switch is pressed, the safety function is activated.- Safety function status: the window lowering force of 100 N (with 10 N/mm spring) is determined when the window is closing.
- Window Reverse Distance (unless the auto-up switch is held)
- When an obstruction is detected in the range from 4 mm to 250 mm from the top of pillar B, the window lowers 300 mm from the top of pillar B.

- When an obstruction is detected more than 250 mm from the top of pillar B, the window lowers to the lowest position, if the length of the trapped object plus 50 mm is below the lowest window position.

- When an obstruction is detected in the range from 4 mm to 250 mm from the top of pillar B, the window lowers 300 mm from the top of pillar B.
- Window length when lowering (holding the auto-up switch)
- When an obstruction is detected while using the auto-up switch, the window lowers 25 mm from the lock position.
- Auto-up function is unavailable for 5 seconds after the above operation. When the auto-up switch is pressed, the manual-up function is activated (non-safety function).

- Safety function not applied zone: the safety function is unavailable within 4 mm from the top of the window frame.
- Battery Connection Initialization: when battery voltage drops for more than 5 minutes, the power window switch requires initialization.
- Window Operation Before Initialization
- Manual up/down function is available.
- Auto-up/down function unavailable (if the auto up/down switch is used, the manual up/down function is activated.)
- INITIALIZATION: Close the window when it is open and hold the switch to fully close it for more than 0.2 seconds. (If the window is already closed, initialization may fail.)
- If the power window initialization is performed with an obstacle, the following problems may occur.
- Safety Function Not Available
- The Hall sensor of the window position memory is used to detect the glass position and motor rotation direction. The ECU detects the uppermost window position and sets the position to "0".
- ECU De-initialization: the ECU is de-initialized if the following conditions are met. After de-initialization, the safety function and auto-run are not enabled. De-initialization Conditions
K. Repeat window down operation 15 times in the following. b. Power is turned off while the engine is running. vs. Driver seat door opens, ALL Off with window set to hard stop -> ALL On for 2 seconds -> within 5 seconds with ALL On, input manual down switch signal 3 times -> De-initialization complete. (If the power supply is not activated within 2 seconds or an operation is performed after 5 seconds, the de-initialization process must be repeated from the beginning.)
- Window Operation Before Initialization
- Overheating Prevention Mode Denial: overheating prevention software to prevent engine overheating (but EEPROM data must be stored in the ECU).
- If the glass moves with difficulty and the motor is faulty, the window switch may enter safety mode prohibited for user safety.
- Power window operation in fail-safe mode is prohibited
- Manual/auto down function available
- Manual/automatic up function does not operate (When manual/automatic up is activated, the window rises only 20 mm and stops.)
