Emergency Precautions
Tires
Do not use tires and wheels of a different size and type from the originals installed on your vehicle. This may affect the safety and performance of your vehicle, which may result in steering failure or rollover causing serious injury.
When replacing tires, be sure to equip all four wheels with tires of the same size, type, tread, brand and load capacity. If you equip your vehicle with any tire/wheel combination not recommended by HYUNDAI for off-road driving, you must not use these tires for highway driving.
WARNING
Never start or run the engine while the all-wheel drive vehicle is supported on a jack. The vehicle may slip or roll off the jack, causing serious injury or death to you or those nearby.
towing
All-wheel drive vehicles should be towed with a wheel lift and dolly or flatbed equipment with all wheels off the ground. For more details, see "Towing" in Chapter 8.
Dynamometer Testing
All-wheel drive vehicle must be tested on a special four-wheel chassis dynamometer.

All-wheel drive vehicle must not be checked on a 2WD roller tester. If a 2WD roller tester must be used, perform the following procedure:
1. Check the tire pressure recommended for your vehicle.
2. Place the front wheels on the roller tester to check the speedometer as shown in the illustration.
3. Release the parking brake.
4. Place the rear wheels on the temporary free rollers, as shown in the illustration.
PLEDGE
- Never apply the parking brake while performing the test.
- When the vehicle is lifted, do not operate the front and rear wheels separately. All four wheels must be operated.
WARNING
Keep away from the front of the vehicle when the vehicle is on the dynamometer. The vehicle may jump forward and cause serious injury or death.
