Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

[2.0 GDI gasoline]

  1. Discard the following items:
    • Subframe assembly (Refer to Suspension System - Subframe)
    • Drive shaft (Refer to Axle and Propeller Shaft - Front Drive Shaft)
  2. Remove the transmission shaft (A).

    Tightening torque: 49.0 ~ 69 N·m

  3. Loosen the upper and lower transmission mounting bolts. (Transfer side → transmission)
  4. Loosen the lower transfer case mounting bolt. (Transmission side → transfer)
  5. Remove the transfer assembly.

[1.6 T-GDI gasoline]

  1. Remove the transmission shaft (A).

    Tightening torque: 49.0 ~ 69 N·m

  2. Loosen the transfer fixing bolts (A).
  3. Remove the transfer assembly (B).

REMEDY

[2.0 GDI gasoline]

  1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

[1.6 T-GDI gasoline]

  1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
