Speaker Troubleshooting

  1. BASIC INSPECTION: Loosen the screws to avoid any interference from the gasket, housing, and surrounding parts, then remove the speaker. After removing the speaker, check the speaker sound quality with the connector connected.
  2. Check by each cause
    1. Abnormal vibration
      • Make sure the mounting screws are tightened properly before replacing the speaker.
      • Reinstall the speaker and check whether the symptom has disappeared. OK.
      • If the symptom does not disappear, replace the speaker with a new one.
    2. Noise
      • Make sure the speaker connector is connected correctly, and reconnect it if necessary.
      • If noise is heard in radio mode, switch to CD playback mode.
      • If there is noise in both modes, replace the speaker with a new one.
    3. Malfunction
      • Check the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the speaker with an ohmmeter.
      • If the measured resistance is within the specified value shown below, the speaker is operating normally.
