Description and Operation

Description

DBC stands for Downhill Brake Control. When the vehicle is driving downhill, the DBC switch allows the vehicle to maintain a constant speed without operating the brake pedal. The DBC function operates when the vehicle is on a downhill slope and its speed is below the set speed.

Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the upper console cover. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console")
  3. Disconnect the connector (A).
  4. Check the continuity of the circuit between the switch terminals when the DBC switch is turned on.
