Tire Wear

  1. Measure the tire tread depth.

Tread depth [limit]: 1.6 mm (0.0630 in.)

  2. If the tread depth (A) is less than the usable limit, replace the tire.
Tire Rotation

DIRECTIONAL STABILITY CHECK

If the steering pulls to one side, rotate the tires using the following procedure.
  1. Swap the front left and front right tires, then perform a road test to check vehicle stability.
  2. If the steering pulls in the opposite direction, swap the front and rear tires and perform the road test again.
  3. If the steering still pulls to the same side, swap the front left and front right tires again and perform the road test.
  4. If the steering still pulls in the opposite direction, replace the tires with new ones.

DEPOSIT

  1. Remove the valve core and deflate the tire.
  2. Trim the sidewall of the tire in the bead area using a tire changer.
  3. Rotate the wheel clockwise.

REMEDY

  1. Apply tire soap or lubricant to the upper and lower tire beads.
  2. To adjust the lower bead, set the valve at the 5:00 position relative to the head of the tire changer.
  3. Place the tire on the rim so that the lower bead contacts the rim flange after the valve (6 o'clock). Rotate the rim clockwise and push the tire down at 3:00 to adjust the lower bead.
  4. Once the lower bead is on the rim, rotate the rim while the valve stays at the 5:00 position relative to the tire changer head. Place the tire at the 3:00 position and rotate the rim clockwise to adjust the upper bead.
  5. Inflate the tire until both beads seat properly.

Recommended tire pressure: 240 kPa (35 psi)
