REPLACEMENT

[Disassembly]
  1. Remove the rear pillar garnish. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Pillar Trim")
  2. Loosen the glass mounting nuts of the glass bracket (A).

    Tightening torque: 3.9 ~ 4.4 N·m

  3. Cut the window mounting opening seal using a knife.
  4. Remove the fixed rear side window (A).
  5. Using a scraper, remove the old adhesive to a thickness of approximately 2 mm (0.08 in) from the bonding surface around the flange of the quarter glass opening.
  6. Clean the body bonding surface with a sponge soaked in alcohol. After cleaning, remove oil, grease and water from the surface.
  7. Using a sponge, apply a thin coat of glass primer to the surface along the edge of the fixed side window, then gently wipe with gauze or cloth.
  8. Using a sponge, apply a thin coat of body primer to the original adhesive remaining around the flange. Allow to dry for at least 10 minutes.
  9. Load the adhesive into the cartridge without air pockets to ensure constant delivery. Place the cartridge in the sealant gun and extrude a bead of adhesive along the edge of the glass mounting groove (A), as shown in the illustration. Apply the adhesive within 30 minutes after loading.

    Tightening torque: 3.9 ~ 4.4 N·m

  10. Install the quarter glass.
  11. Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 1 hour, then spray water into the glass mounting groove and check for leaks. Mark any leak points and, once the fixed side glass is thoroughly dry, apply waterproof sealant. Keep the vehicle for at least four hours after sealing.
  12. Reinstall all other components.
  13. Install the rear pillar garnish. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Pillar Garnish")
