Convenient Features of Your Vehicle

Outside Mirrors

~1min read

Your vehicle is equipped with both left and right outside rearview mirrors.

WARNING

  • The passenger side outside rearview mirror is convex. Objects seen in the mirror are closer than they appear.
  • Use the interior rearview mirror or turn your head and look to determine the actual distance to following vehicles when changing lanes.

WARNING

Do not adjust or fold the exterior rearview mirrors while driving. This may cause loss of vehicle control, resulting in a traffic accident.

CAUTION

  • Do not scrape ice off the mirror; this may damage the glass surface.
  • If the mirror is frozen, do not force the mirror to adjust. Use an approved de-icer spray (not engine coolant antifreeze), a sponge or soft cloth with very warm water, or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.

Adjusting the outside rearview mirrors:

Press the L (driver side) or R (passenger side) button (1) to select the mirror you want to adjust.

Use the mirror adjustment switch (2) to move the selected mirror up, down, left, or right.

After adjustment, press the L or R button (1) again to prevent unintentional adjustment.

CAUTION

  • The mirrors stop moving when they reach the maximum adjustment angle, but the motor continues to run while the switch is pressed. Do not hold the switch longer than necessary; the motor may be damaged.
  • Do not try to adjust the outside rearview mirror manually or with the motor by force; the mirror may be damaged.
