Roof Rack

~1min read

If your vehicle has a roof rack, you can load cargo onto the roof of the vehicle.

The following specification is the maximum weight that can be loaded on the roof rack. Distribute the load as evenly as possible on the roof rack and secure the cargo firmly.

✽ NOTICE

If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, do not load cargo on the roof rack in a way that could interfere with the operation of the sunroof.

CAUTION

When carrying cargo on the roof rack, take the necessary precautions to ensure that the cargo does not damage the vehicle roof.

  • Do not load cargo or luggage beyond the specified weight limit.
  • When carrying large items on the roof rack, make sure they do not exceed the overall length or width of the roof.

WARNING

  • The vehicle's center of gravity will be higher when items are loaded on the roof rack. Avoid sudden starts, braking, sharp turns, abrupt maneuvers, or high speeds, which may result in loss of control or rollover in an accident.
  • Always drive slowly and turn carefully when carrying items on the roof rack. Strong upward air currents caused by passing vehicles or natural causes may create sudden upward pressure on items loaded on the roof rack. This is especially true when carrying large flat items such as wood panels or mattresses. These items may fall from the roof rack and damage your vehicle or others around you.
  • To prevent damage to or loss of cargo during driving, frequently check that items on the roof rack are securely fastened.
