Removal

  1. Remove the seat back trim and the seat cushion cover. (Refer to Group BD - "Front Seat")
  2. Remove the driver/passenger seat back heater (A) and the seat cushion heater (B).

Installation

  1. Install the driver/passenger seat back and the seat cushion heater.

Inspection

Front Seat Heater
  1. Check the continuity and measure the resistance between the terminals as shown below.

    Specification Cushion: 1.32x ± 10% (leather), 1.76x ± 10% (cloth) Back: 1.85x ± 10% Set: 3.17x ± 10% (leather), 3.61x ± 10% (cloth)
  2. After connecting the 4-pin connector, turn on the seat heater, and then check the thermostat by measuring the seat surface temperature. Specification High: 107.6 ± 3.6 °F (42 ± 2 °C) (cushion), 125.6 ± 3.6 °F (52 ± 2 °C) (back) Low: 104 ± 3.6 °F (40 ± 2 °C) (cushion), 114.8 ± 3.6 °F (46 ± 2 °C) (back)
