Sunroof Tilt

Before opening and closing the sunroof, open the sunshade.

To open the sunroof:

Press the sunroof control switch up until the sunroof moves to the desired position.

To close the sunroof:

Pull the sunroof control lever down until the sunroof moves to the desired position.

WARNING

• Make sure your head, other body parts, or other objects are clear before closing the sunroof to avoid injury or vehicle damage.
• Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade while driving. This may cause loss of vehicle control, resulting in an accident.
• To avoid serious injury or death, do not extend your head, arms, or body outside the sunroof while driving.

✽ NOTICE

After washing the vehicle or after rain, be sure to wipe water off the sunroof before use.

CAUTION

• Periodically remove dirt that may accumulate on the sunroof guide rail or between the sunroof and roof panel, as it may cause noise.
• Do not try to open the sunroof in sub-zero temperatures or when the sunroof is covered with snow or ice; the motor may be damaged. In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly.
• To prevent damage to the sunroof and motor, do not press the sunroof control switch after the sunroof is in the fully open, fully closed, or tilt position(s).

To Reset the Sunroof

If the battery is discharged or disconnected, or if the related fuse has been blown, replaced, or disconnected, reset the sunroof as follows:

1. The ignition switch must be in the ON position.

2. Open the sunshade.

3. Close the sunroof completely.

4. Release the control lever.

5. Push the control lever forward until the sunroof tilts and moves up and down. Then release the lever.

6. Push the control lever forward until the sunroof operates as follows:

TILT OPEN → SLIDE OPEN → SLIDE CLOSE

Then release the control lever.

If the sunroof does not operate properly after reset, have the system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
