Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers (A) by loosening the 3 screws.
    Be careful not to damage or scratch the covers and related parts. Be careful not to damage the hooks when removing the upper and lower covers.
  3. Disconnect the light switch connector (A) and the wiper switch connector (B). [LH steering wheel]
    [Right-hand drive]
    [Left-hand drive]
    [Right-hand drive]
  4. Remove the wiper switch (A) by pressing the stopper pin (B).
    When removing only the wiper and washer switch, unlock the wiper switch lock without removing the steering wheel.

Installation

  1. Install the multifunction switch.
  2. Install the clock spring and steering wheel.
  3. Install the upper and lower steering column covers.

Inspection

Check continuity between the terminals during operation of the wiper and washer switch. If not normal, replace the wiper and washer switch.
