Auxiliary Switches — If Equipped

~1min read

Four auxiliary switches located in the lower instrument panel switch bank can be used to power various electrical devices. You have the ability to configure the auxiliary switches through the Uconnect settings.

All switches can be configured as follows:

  • Switch type: latching or momentary
  • Power source: battery or ignition
  • Retain last state between key cycles: on or off

NOTE:

The retain-last-state conditions are met when the switch type is set to latching and the power source is set to ignition.

The auxiliary switches control relays that supply power to four bare wires. These wires are located under the instrument panel in the cabin and under the hood on the right side near the battery.

In addition to the four auxiliary switch wires, the battery fusible link and ignition wire are also located in the cabin, on the passenger side under the instrument panel.

A splice kit and heat-shrink tubing are supplied with the auxiliary switches to assist in connecting/installing the electrical device.
