For efficient programming and accurate transmission of the radio frequency signal, it is recommended to install a new battery in the handheld transmitter of the device being programmed to the HomeLink® system. Make sure your handheld transmitter is programmed to activate the device you are trying to program the HomeLink® button to.

Make sure your vehicle is parked outside of the garage before you begin programming.

It is recommended to erase all HomeLink® channels before using it for the first time.
