The red brake system warning lamp will illuminate when the ignition is in the ON/RUN position and may remain on for up to four seconds.

If the brake system warning lamp remains on or comes on while driving, this indicates that the brake system is not functioning properly and immediate service is required. If the brake system warning lamp does not illuminate when the ignition is turned to the ON/RUN position, have the lamp repaired as soon as possible.
