- Mixing engine coolant (antifreeze) of Organic Additive Technology (OAT) with any other type may cause engine damage and may reduce corrosion protection. OAT engine coolant (antifreeze) is different and should not be mixed with Hybrid Organic Additive Technology (HOAT) engine coolant (antifreeze) or any "globally compatible" engine coolant (antifreeze). If non-OAT engine coolant (antifreeze) is added to the cooling system in an emergency, the cooling system must be drained, flushed, and refilled with OAT engine coolant (in accordance with MS.90032) by an authorized dealer as soon as possible.
- Do not use only water or alcohol-based engine coolant (antifreeze). Do not use supplemental rust inhibitors or anti-corrosion products, as they may be incompatible with the engine coolant and may clog the radiator.
- This vehicle is not designed for use with propylene glycol-based engine coolant (antifreeze). The use of propylene glycol-based engine coolant (antifreeze) is not recommended.
