To use the armrest, pull it forward from the seatback.

Cup Holder and Multi-Box

To use the cup holder, lift the cover up (2).

Carrying Long/Narrow Items

An additional cargo space is provided to accommodate long/narrow items (skis, poles, etc.) that cannot be properly placed in the trunk with the cover closed.

1. Pull the armrest down.

2. Pull the cover down while pressing the release lever down.

CAUTION

Use care when loading cargo through the rear passenger seat to avoid damaging the vehicle interior.

CAUTION - Rear Seat Belt Buckle Damage

When folding the rear seatback, insert the buckle between the rear seatback and the seat cushion. This can prevent the buckle from being damaged by the rear seatback.

WARNING - Cargo

Cargo must always be secured to prevent it from scattering throughout the vehicle in a collision and injuring vehicle occupants. Do not place items on the rear seats, as they cannot be properly secured and may strike the front seat occupants in a collision.

WARNING - Loading Cargo

Make sure the engine is off, the shift lever is in P (Park), and the parking brake is firmly applied when loading or unloading cargo. Failure to follow these steps may allow the vehicle to move if the shift lever is accidentally moved out of position.

WARNING! Folded Seatback

Folding the rear seatbacks allows you to carry longer items that could not otherwise be accommodated.

• Never allow a passenger to sit on top of the folded seatback while the vehicle is moving. This is not a proper seating position, as no seat belts are available for use.
• To reduce the risk of injury from cargo sliding inside the passenger compartment, items carried on the folded seatback must not extend above the top of the front seats.

WARNING! Objects

Items carried on the folded-down seatback must not extend above the top of the front seatbacks. This could allow cargo to slide forward and cause injury or damage during sudden stops.
