Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the front seat assembly. (Refer to Body - "Front Seat")
  3. Disconnect the connector mounting clip (A).
  4. Loosen the seat belt buckle switch mounting bolt and remove the seat belt buckle switch (A).

Installation
Make sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched and do not interfere with other parts.
  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes before starting work.
  3. Install the seat belt buckle switch.

    Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 54 N·m

  4. Install the front seat assembly. (Refer to Body - Front Seat.)
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. After installing the seat belt buckle switch, check that the system operates correctly:
    • Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn off.
