Electric A/C Compressor Description and Operation

~1min read

Description

Thanks to the development of electric compressors, fuel efficiency is improved, and the A/C can operate when the engine is stopped.

Operating Principle

Compression part: One scroll is fixed, and the other orbits eccentrically without self-rotation, thereby trapping and pumping refrigerant in the pockets between the scrolls.
Motor part: Converts electrical energy into mechanical motion using a brushless DC motor.
Control part: Converts DC current into three-phase AC current and changes compressor speed according to cooling demand.
