- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary 12 V battery.
- Remove the service plug.
- Remove the service plug cover (A).
- Unhook the hook (A) and remove the service plug (C) by pulling the lever (B) in the direction of the arrow.
- Remove the service plug cover (A).
- Wait more than 5 minutes so that the capacitors in the high voltage system can fully discharge.
- Measure the voltage between the inverter terminals to confirm that the capacitor in the inverter is fully discharged.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and duct (refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner").
- Disconnect the inverter power cable (A).
Disconnect the inverter power cable as described below.
- Measure the voltage between the inverter terminal (+) and the inverter terminal (-). Less than 30 V: High voltage circuit is properly shut off. More than 30 V: Fault in the high voltage circuit.
If the measured voltage exceeds 30 V even though the service plug has been removed properly, there may be a serious problem in the high voltage circuit. In this case, check the DTCs and never touch the high voltage system.
