Replacement

Trunk Lid Assembly Replacement
  • An assistant is required to remove and install the trunk lid.
  • Wear gloves to protect your hands from injury.
  1. Loosen the mounting screws of the luggage compartment inner handle (A).
  2. Disconnect the clips, then remove the trunk lid trim (A).
  3. Disconnect the wiring (B) and connectors.
  4. After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the trunk lid (A).

    Tightening torque: 6.9~8.8 N·m

  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    • Replace all damaged clips.
  6. Remove the trunk lid weatherstrip (A).
    • Do not apply sealant to the body.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    • Install the seal, aligning it with the gallop line (B).
  8. Remove the trunk lid trim.
  9. Disconnect the trunk lid lock connector (A).
  10. Disconnect the cable (B), then loosen the latch assembly mounting bolts (C) and remove it.

    Tightening torque: 6.9~10.8 N·m

  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    • Make sure the trunk lid locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.

  • Using a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap protective tape around the tip and apply protective tape around the relevant parts to prevent damage.
  • Wear gloves to protect your hands.
  1. Remove the trunk lid trim.
  2. After loosening the mounting nuts, disconnect the rear combination lamp connector (B).
  3. Remove the rear combination lamp (A).
  4. Loosen the rear panel mounting nuts (A) of the luggage compartment lid.
  5. Using a screwdriver or a trim remover, remove the rear panel of the trunk lid (A).
  6. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    • Replace all damaged clips.

Adjustment

  1. Loosen the trunk lid hinge mounting bolt (A), then adjust the trunk lid by moving it up or down, right or left.
  2. Adjust the trunk lid height by turning the trunk lid struts (B).
  3. After loosening the luggage compartment lid lock mounting bolts (C), adjust the luggage compartment lid lock by moving it up or down, right or left.
